How Datamolino works with FreeAgent

Datamolino automatically extracts key details from invoices and receipts using AI and OCR, including invoice descriptions, line items and tax amounts. Beyond managing your business expenses, Datamolino can also capture data from sales invoices and bank statements, which is helpful if you generate invoices outside FreeAgent or don’t have a bank feed.

When you enable the integration, your supplier and vendor accounts, nominal accounts, VAT codes and tracking categories sync automatically with Datamolino. As you start using it, Datamolino learns how you categorise purchases and automates data entry, giving you full control over automation settings to ensure everything works just as you need.

You can choose to work with captured line items or automatically create line items for each invoice based on pre-set rules.

How do I get started with Datamolino?

You can connect FreeAgent with Datamolino by following these steps:

1. Sign up for Datamolino if you haven’t already. There is a free trial.
2. Open Datamolino, select your business and select ‘Connect’.
3. Select ‘Connect to FreeAgent’. You can connect as a business or accounting practice.
4. Choose the corresponding FreeAgent business that you want to integrate.
